7/6/07 - Ok, the webpage is getting closer to complete. Fixed a bunch of link errors, removed some old crap, and finally put up the beer review page although it needs much editing. I still need to change the format of the beer review page so that comments and ratings are possible, and I have to add descriptions to the beers but hopefully that will all be done shortly. Give it a couple more weeks and it will be finished...I hope. Then people will be able to rate the beers, leave comments and leave names of beers to try etc. Enjoy.
1/17/07 - Hmmm. Not a whole lot of new news. There are new Christmas pictures up as well as the pictures for the Stereotype Party that was held at the Lakeland house. Sorry, but the Stereotype pictures arn't anything spectacular...I didn't feel like breaking out all the equipment. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day pictures turned out wonderfully though. I am loving the new Gary Fong Lightsphere but I still need to learn how to use it a little better. Nothing else has been done with the website because I have been busy with work and such. I also recently started taking piano lessons...something I have wanted to do for quite some time but never got around to doing until now. Hopefully when classes start back up I will find time to actually build the site a little more. Until then...
11/14/06 - Ok, I did some stuff but nothing I planned. The Beer/Wine Review is still not up, the gallery page is still fugly as butt, the About Us page still isn't updated, etc. etc. etc. But I embedded my CALENDAR! YEA, THAT'S RIGHT...CALENDAR! Now, everyone knows what I am doing all the time. What more could you ask for? Nothing. Not a damn thing...
8/24/06 - A few of the problems have been fixed. Ben, links have been put at the top of the gallery page to link back to the other main pages. It isn't too pretty but it will get the job done until I can make it more aesthetically pleasing. Caitlin, all the photos have been removed, renamed, and put back on the website so that they will be in the correct order with in the albums now - correct order being the order in which they were shot. An About Us page has been started, although it has not been finished. So, besides making the Beer/Wine Review page, I have only a few trivial things left to do. I have to make the links at the top of the Gallery and Forum pages look a little more integrated, finish the About Us page, do some minor tweaks with some pages ( e.g. the Granddad link is always blue if IE is being used as the browser), customize the Forum page, re-size the text box on the index page to auto-fit the screen, and re-size all the pages so they fit 100% not only horizontally, but also vertically. Another six years, when I have lost interest in web design, and it will all be done...
08/27/06 - New pictures have been added. Over 300 images from the Hester family reunion. It was very fun. Still trying to figure some things out with the webpage. Please email me if you have any ideas. Thank you Ben for you suggestion. So far here is the list of thing I have to do:
1.) Add links on the Gallery and Forum pages that link back to the other pages (or at very least the homepage.)
2.) Resize this text box (and this whole page for that matter) so that its fits any screen and so that the text box scrolls instead of just getting longer and longer.
3.) Add an About Us page. ( The Beer/Wine review page is eons away.)
4.) Change the Gallery numbering system so the pictures are actually in order.
07/20/06 - The webpage is up a little bit more. The gallery is up and running. Still a little bit of tweaking to do and customization but you can still navigate it with ease. Since the webpage was last up, the number of pictures has just about doubled. Plus there are videos now! They will start automatically but some of them will take quite a long time because some of them are fairly large...plus more videos to come. The granddad page should be finished by this Sunday hopefully. The forum is also up but I haven't used the program before so it may take some time to customize. The Links page, About us page, and Beer/Wine Review haven't even been started.
07/11/06 - Ok the webpage is sort of up but not really. Give it a little time and it will all be up. For right now, the gallery and the granddad link is up but the other links are not there yet. And the homepage looks like crap...
